"Sing about a fruitful vineyard:
I, the Lord, watch over it;
I water it continually.
I guard it day and night
so that no one may harm it."
Isaiah 27:2-3
I had no idea when I left my post of administrator for The Way of the Spirit -- to study Theology in London - that I would return to head up the work soon afterwards. I actually returned to Kingdom Faith Ministries to serve in the Bible College, and it was only a year after John McKay died, at the end of my second year teaching, that God gave me vision for the ongoing work. Prior to this I suppose I could have taken on the ministry -- many thought I would -- but I knew that without specific vision from him it would be fruitless.
He showed me a picture of the world and lines -- perhaps resembling arms -- reaching from a group of buildings all around the world. People were coming to the buildings to receive the life that was coming from his throne and taking it back to where they came. There was a continual outpouring of revelation and of people coming and going.
Shortly after that, one Sunday afternoon, he showed me various people who would form the basis of a team around me here at Roffey. The following day the first of them came to see me offering her service and support after she had completed her year as a student. The others followed over the subsequent weeks.
Now, eighteen months later, I have a strong team around me. It has already undergone some changes, with certain members having been sent out to various places (Scotland, Pakistan, Yorkshire) and others have joined us. They have each really grown in their ministries, and several are becoming effective and anointed prophetic bible teachers. They now regularly lead the teaching days here at Roffey, and travel around Britain as opportunities arise. This releases me to think more strategically, travel abroad (I recently returned from India and a mission to Kampala is planned in the early summer) and write, something the Lord is prompting me about.
The Prophetic Bible Teachers course continues to prosper and produce teachers and coordinators; there are new teaching centres around the country, and we have produced new materials – tapes and short courses –more are envisaged.
In short, God has not finished with The Way of the Spirit! We are on a journey with him, and believe the work will continue to develop and grow according to his plans and purposes.
