Caterham, South London
Welcome to Caterham, South London, Way of the Spirit!
We would be glad to welcome you to any of our weekly groups or monthly teaching days.
Over the past year we have had Bible reading groups using the Way of the Spirit long course and various short courses meeting in an almshouse quiet room in Croydon, someone’s house in South Croydon/Warlingham, and in Purley Oaks, a pub near Lingfield/East Grinstead, a Marks and Spencer’s cafe, and a Korean ladies group at a house in Worcester Park. We are hoping to start a new group in the Autumn in Ashtead or Epsom. Please contact Juliet for further details of these groups or if you would like to start a group where you are. There are two new short courses out this summer – ‘Out of the Storm’, and ‘Be Blessed’ if you’d like to try something new! We have copies of resources if you want to get them locally, or order online www.thewayofthespirit.com from resources.
Whether you are part of a group or not, all are welcome to come to our monthly teaching days.

We love to meet with God and to hear from Him through worship, listening to Bible teaching and sharing with each other. We are excited to see what God is doing through the Word and the Spirit amongst us and through us. We equip and train for service, looking outwards and sending out, as Jesus did to his disciples. Our experience and mandate is the same as that of Jesus Christ, coming from Isaiah 61:
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins
and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations.
