John McKay
"When we encounter spiritual beings in the Bible, we find mystery and so must be careful how we interpret," writes John McKay. "Much of todays teaching about the spirit-world differs little from pagan mythology or science fiction. Here we return to the Biblical foundations, to see what the Bible actually says."
"Our history relates to the interaction of heaven and earth, not of heaven, earth and hell. Hell is entirely a place of final destiny. It has no interaction with earth in any way. That may surprise many readers, but that is how the Bible presents it. The popular notion that heaven and hell are opposing supernatural spheres, one good and the other evil, one ruled by God and the other by the devil, finds no place in the Bible. That is a notion based on Graeco-Roman mythology, not on Scripture."
The History of Heaven and Earth was John McKay's last book, completed in early January 2001, shortly before he went to be with Jesus. It is based on a lecture that he gave at Kingdom Faith Revival College annually from 1996-2000. A tape of the 2000 lecture is also available to accompany this book. The book and cassette can be used together for group study as part of a short course lasting seven weeks if desired.
